After a fun, rowdy live 2028 Democratic presidential primary draft last month, we’re returning to the Comedy Cellar in New York City on March 4 to tackle the Republican side of the ledger. Grab a ticket, grab a beer, and join Nate Silver, Clare Malone, and Galen Druke for our first-ever 2028 GOP presidential primary draft.

While Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s odds of securing the nomination have roughly doubled since last year, Vice President JD Vance still looms large over the contest — meaning we’ll have to get creative about the paths the GOP might take in a post-Trump world.

We also won’t just be discussing the parties’ future at the presidential level. March 4 falls the day after the hotly contested Senate primaries in Texas.

On the Democratic side, U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett and state Rep. James Talarico are pitching dramatically different strategies for flipping the state. On the Republican side, Attorney General Ken Paxton and Rep. Wesley Hunt are trying to unseat seasoned incumbent Sen. John Cornyn.

With results in hand, we’ll have plenty to say about Democrats’ white whale: winning statewide in Texas.
